Delete accounts

Review and remove accounts that match your deletion rules

The Delete accounts queue contains records that match your deletion rules. These can include companies that are out of business, records with unusable websites, or records that match your own CRM field conditions.

Open Delete accounts in Kernel

Set deletion rules

Open Rules > Deletions to choose the built-in criteria, protect actively owned accounts, and add custom rulesets.

Read the deletion rules

Active owner protection applies to the built-in deletion criteria. Custom rulesets take precedence over that protection. Safeguarded accounts are excluded unless Allow deleting safeguarded accounts is turned on.

Open Rules > Related objects to select backup objects and choose whether Kernel should delete related records before deleting their account.

With Don't delete associated objects selected, Kernel does not separately delete the related records. With either deletion option selected, the matching related records are backed up and deleted before the account.

Review and delete

  1. Filter the queue by risk tier or CRM fields to choose the records to review.

  2. Open a recommendation and read its reason for deletion.

  3. Choose Delete for one record or a selected group, then review the accounts and related records in the confirmation.

  4. Confirm to queue the deletion, or choose Reject to leave the account in your CRM.

  5. Check Actioned for the result.
